Translator Profile

This translator has over two decades of Portuguese to Eng-lish translation and interpretation experience in a range of subjects. He was the Interpreter for the United States Sec-retary of Defense, Dick Chaney, and for the U.S. Chief of Naval Operations, Admiral Carlisle Trost, during their respec-tive visits to Brazil. He concluded a “Command and Staff Course” from Brazilian Naval War College with a recommendation for instructorship. He has represented Brazil in several interna-tional programs on hydrographic, oceanographic, navigation, and other maritime-related strategic issues around South Atlantic and the Caribbean. Apart from translating several manuals and official mails for the Brazilian Navy, he has also written, edited and trans-lated for reputed international newspapers and magazines.
