AFCONS
Three regional websites, SEO done per market and localized video, so an engineering group working in more than 22 countries could be found and trusted in Japan, Africa and Latin America.

Project summary
About the company
AFCONS Infrastructure, part of the $7bn Shapoorji Pallonji Group, builds marine, port, LNG, metro-rail and bridge projects across more than 22 countries in Asia, Africa and the Middle East. ENR ranks it 7th in the world for marine and port facilities, and it is the first infrastructure company to win the MIKE award at global, Asia-Pacific and India levels.
The problem
AFCONS was launching a new English website while winning work in Japan, Africa and Latin America. The people it needed to reach in those markets could not read it.
Clients and partners could not read the site
The project videos and case studies that prove the company's track record were only in English.
Three markets, three expectations
Japanese, African French and Latin American Spanish each call for their own tone and dialect in how an engineering firm presents itself.
A site still being built
New pages, video clips and announcements kept arriving while the regional versions were needed, with the client, its web designer and our team all working in parallel.
What we did
Our team created each regional site in phases, Japanese first, then African French, then Latin American Spanish, working alongside the client's web designer.
Three regional sites, written for each audience
Around 13,000 words per language, created by our team in each market with infrastructure-sector linguists, so the tone matched how engineering firms present themselves there.
SEO per market, built into the content
Keywords researched in each language for how clients and partners there search for infrastructure contractors, then worked into the pages, titles and metadata as they were written.
Video that works in every market
Subtitles, captions and on-screen text translated, timed and integrated for AFCONS's project videos, including new clips added while the English site was still in development.
The impact
AFCONS launched in three new markets with a website, videos and case studies that read as if they had been written there, in the language its clients and partners use, and consistent in tone across all three. Delivery in phases meant each market went live without waiting for the others.
