Portchain
A Korean website, Naver SEO and Korean PR content that made a Danish port-technology company visible to the people who run Korea's ports, on the platform they actually search.

Project summary
About the company
Portchain, based in Copenhagen, makes cloud software that helps container terminals and shipping lines align vessel schedules and berth plans. Its customers include some of the world's largest carriers and terminals, among them Pusan New Port and Hanjin Busan Newport in South Korea.
The problem
Korea is one of the world's biggest container-shipping markets, and Portchain already had customers there. To the people who decide on port technology in Busan and Incheon, though, the company was effectively invisible.
Korean buyers search on Naver, in Korean
Port operators and shipping professionals in Korea do not search on Google in English. An English-only site did not appear where they were looking.
All material was in English
Product pages, case studies and company information could not be read by the prospects, partners and customers they were meant to persuade.
No local presence
There was nowhere in Korean to point a prospect or a partner to, and no channel through which the brand could be found or trusted locally.
What we did
Our team in Korea built Portchain's presence from the ground up, on the platform Korean buyers use.
A Korean website, built for Korea
We created Korean versions of Portchain's web pages, written by our team in Korea for the local shipping audience rather than translated word for word, and developed them so the site worked properly for Korean visitors.
SEO for Naver, not just Google
Keywords researched in Korean for how port and shipping professionals there actually search, then built into the pages, with title tags, meta descriptions and the rest of the on-page hygiene set up for each one.
A presence on Naver itself
We set up and ran Naver blogs for Portchain, and published PR articles in Korean based on the company's case studies, so the brand appeared in the places Korean buyers actually read.
The impact
Portchain went from an English-only site to a brand that Korean port operators and shipping lines can find, read and trust on Naver. Prospects and existing customers in Korea now have Korean-language content and a local presence to turn to, and regional enquiries and support requests come to a brand that speaks their language.
