Jinju, South Korea: Enago, academia’s leading provider of English language editing and publication support services, conducted a workshop in Korea to introduce local researchers to the overall process of international publishing, focusing primarily on how to deal with journal rejection. The workshop was conducted at Gyeongsang National University (GNU), South Gyeongsang Province, South Korea.
Dr. Hyeon Soo Kim, Vice Dean of Korea University’s College of Medicine, Seoul, was the speaker at the event. He began his presentation by highlighting the importance of publishing in English and briefly providing an introduction to academic publishing and the peer review process. Dr. Kim then discussed the different ways in which a researcher can handle paper rejection and the steps to be taken to avoid it. He also highlighted the causes of rejection, providing valuable insights on how to process rejection letters and how to respond to reviewer comments and feedback. The session concluded with a 30-minute Q&A between Dr. Soo Kim and the participants, who were mainly graduate students and professors.
