Ulatus, one of the world’s leading providers of translation services to researchers and corporates across the globe, recently exhibited at the American Translators Association (ATA) annual meeting in San Francisco, California, from November 2–5. The conference, the organization’s 57th annual, brought together translators, interpreters, language service providers, universities, teachers, project managers, technology companies, and government agencies from all over the world.
ATA with nearly 11,000 members in more than 90 countries is the largest professional association for translation and interpretation professionals in the US. It enables professional development of its members by providing certification exams in 26 language combinations and presents several awards and scholarships during its annual conference.
This year’s conference had an excellent turnout of more than 1800 attendees. In addition to an impressive 176 sessions, the conference offered excellent preconference sessions including advanced skills and training and leadership training. ATA’s professional-interest divisions also organize meetings during the event. What sets ATA apart from other conferences is great networking opportunities like Job fair, Buddies Welcome Newbies, Brainstorm Networking, and Business and Practices Happy Hour. The conference organizers ensure that attendees don’t miss to have fun amongst all the learning and networking. Participants were encouraged to participate in daily photo challenge and the conference ended with a Conference Dance Party!
