Crimson’s first publication

March 2009

amazonbookiconIn line with our efforts to help ESL authors publish their research in English journals, we released our first book in Japanese 英語のバカヤロー! ~「英語の壁」に挑んだ12人の日本人~. The title if literally translated reads "English idiot! I hate you—12 Japanese authors who tackled the English language barrier". Written by Yuko Furuya, the Head of Crimson Japan, the book presents the experiences of 12 Japanese authors, including Nobel Prize nominees Shuji Nakamura, Takeshi Yoro, Chizuko Ueno, and Heizo Takenaka, who overcame the English language barrier to publish their work in international journals. The book presents interesting accounts of authors who fought the non-native bias and became fluent English speakers. Humorous, insightful, and inspiring, the book is an initiative by Crimson to reach out to the academic community in Japan.
